Evergreen Connections

Providing friendship and companionship to older people and making a genuine difference along the way. Find out how you can be part of this unique and impactful community visitors program.

Connecting older people with volunteers to forge lasting friendships

Join our Evergreen Connections community visitors program and be part of something great!

Part of the Aged Care Volunteer Scheme, this Australian Government-funded initiative matches volunteer visitors with eligible older people who are experiencing loneliness and social isolation across Eastern Melbourne.

It's a wonderful opportunity for us to help vulnerable members of the community and ease the burden of social isolation, which we know can lead to poor health outcomes. With regular visits, both volunteers and older people can build meaningful connections and make a real difference in each other's lives.

How does the program work?

If you're in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs and are looking for either a fulfilling volunteer role or a friendly volunteer visitor, then Balwyn Evergreen can help.

The first step is to get in touch to see if our visitors program is the right fit for you. Full training is provided along with ongoing support from our team. We welcome enquiries from all backgrounds.
