Meet the Balwyn Evergreen Team
Tina Hogarth-Clarke
CEO
A love of working with older people and a desire to be part of a community is what drew Tina Hogarth-Clarke to Balwyn Evergreen. Tina brings more than 20 years of experience in health and aged care to the role and has served on Boards and Committees for a range of not-for-profit organisations. Most recently, she was the CEO of COTA Victoria after 14 years running her own aged care consultancy. When not steering the BEC ship, you’ll find her walking a very naughty beagle or in her veggie garden coaxing plants to yield food.
Kerri Jackson
Volunteer Coordinator
Kerri is a qualified teacher and community development worker who has worked in many sectors including: Youth, Justice, Homelessness and the Aboriginal community. As a volunteer herself, Kerri is passionate about working alongside volunteers to ensure they are valued and supported in helping us to build healthy, vibrant and connected communities. In her downtime Kerri spends a great deal of time in her garden and veggie patch with her best mate ‘Rusty’ the Jack Russell.
Bo Cui
Operations Lead
With a background in chemical engineering and a passion for all things related to information technology, Bo first joined Balwyn Evergreen Centre as a bus driver in 2013 and is now an all-round team member. Despite his role having expanded, his favourite place is still behind the wheel, where he enjoys the opportunity to chat with members. Bo considers his role as more than just a job. For him, it is an opportunity to be surrounded by the warmth and generosity of the community.
Elise Walle
Social Support Group Coordinator
Elise joined Balwyn Evergreen Centre in 2001 as a Planned Activity Group assistant. She then worked as a Team Leader and now coordinates Balwyn Evergreen Centre’s Social Support Programs. Elise contributes her positive energy and passion towards managing all aspects of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and overseeing our dedicated volunteers. When she’s not at work, she loves to relax with her family and dog.
Lucia Agati
Lifestyle, Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, and Marketing Support
Lucia joined Balwyn Evergreen Centre in 2022 and works across social support and marketing. She has a background in graphic design and lifestyle program management in residential aged care, and spends her time on bus outings, with the active living program, events planning and all things graphic design. Coming from an Italian background and with a love of the arts, Lucia is always thinking about ways to bring energy and creativity to our events calendar. In her spare time, Lucia enjoys catching up with friends and family.
Erica Fosbender
Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Erica joined Balwyn Evergreen Centre in 2022 and works in marketing and communications. A journalist by trade, and small business owner, Erica brings years of writing experience to Balwyn Evergreen Centre. Curious by nature, Erica is looking forward to hearing our members' stories, as well as spreading the word about Balwyn Evergreen in the community. In her spare time, Erica hangs out with her cats and dog, ferries her kids around and chats with her family in New Zealand.
Lotana Motuku
Social Support Individual Coordinator
Lotana joined Balwyn Evergreen Centre in 2017 and she brings her friendly personality to coordinating home visits to assist the local elderly community at home and with their pets. She also coordinates one of Balwyn Evergreen Centre’s longstanding traditions, the Evergreen Club’s weekly lunches and afternoon entertainment. Lotana’s gentle care and support is much valued in our programs that engage our clients with dementia. Originally from the Pacific, Lotana loves flowers and French perfume.
Raymond Kolesnikoff
Exercise & Compliance Coordinator
Raymond oversees all the administration related to Balwyn Evergreen Centre’s exercise programs. He brings his keen interest in fitness and detailed knowledge of Balwyn Evergreen Centre’s processes to the role where he manages all the logistics from new referrals to setting up classes. He is always available to discuss the needs of members and their families and welcomes feedback to ensure the program meets your expectations. In his spare time, Raymond is an accomplished tennis player and a passionate supporter of animal causes and has spent time volunteering at the RSPCA where he adopted his Jack Russell cross.
Natalie Dunphy
Administration Officer
Natalie started at BEC in Oct 2022 as a volunteer, helping out in the front office, which turned into a permanent role in 2023, job sharing with Britt. Meeting and greeting clients is the fun part of the job and getting to know their stories. Growing up in Tassie, Natalie moved to Melbourne after uni where she completed an Economics degree. Her working career has been quite diverse going from working in the toy industry for many years and then moving to the other end of the age scale, the Aged Care sector. Outside of work Natalie enjoys playing tennis, gardening, travelling and spending time with her family and dog Billie.
Brittany Walle
Administration Officer
Brittany joined Balwyn Evergreen Centre in 2023 as our Administration Officer. She works in the front office greeting clients, answering calls and general admin duties. She job shares with Nat and they enjoy speaking with clients and hearing their life stories. When she is not at work, she runs her own dog accessories business House of Woof doing markets on the weekend and enjoys spending time with her dogs Ziggy & Frankie.
Leonie Legge
CHSP Assistant
Leonie came back to Balwyn Evergreen in 2022 after five years away. You can find her on the Tuesday Outings and helping with the Friday Supported Lifestyle Program. On the other days, Leonie helps with her three grandchildren and enjoys her exercise classes. She loves the community feeling at Balwyn Evergreen and is very happy to be part of the team again.
