Building a warm safe home for WEAAD

To mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) on June 15, we participated in the Warm Safe Home Project, which takes a creative approach to the serious subject of elder abuse and its impact on housing security.

For this socially conscious crafting, our clients decorated brightly coloured model houses, adding a personal touch of what a warm, safe home means to them.

The result is a cacophony of colour, which is on display in our Founders Room for the next week - feel free to drop in and admire the effort.

Because no one should feel unsafe, particularly in their own home, which is where a lot of elder abuse occurs.
