Thank you for supporting our 2024 Open Day!

Wow! That was epic! Our 2024 Open Day exceeded our expectations, and we have our entire community to thank for it. We had a steady stream of happy folk from when the ‘doors opened’ at 10am to when we finally called time just after 2pm.

We had so many meaningful conversations with people who were keen to find out more about what we do and our community partners who shared the day with us agreed – it was well worth it.

The feedback has been extremely positive with everyone expressing an interest in wanting to do it again.  This can mean only one thing... the Open Day will be an annual event... we just need to catch our breath first.

We can't thank everyone enough... but we'll give it a red-hot go...

To our venue hire and community partners who showcased their organisations in our ‘expo hall’ - thank you for sharing your stories with the community.

To the small businesses with market stands – thank you for showcasing your wares!  To everyone in our jam-packed performance format – the cross-section of demonstrations and performances were both engaging and entertaining.

Thank you to our guest speakers: Maling Ward Councilor Jane Addis, State Member for Kew Jess Wilson, Independent Member for Kooyong Dr Monique Ryan, Balwyn Evergreen CEO Tina Hogarth-Clarke and Balwyn Evergreen Board Chair Raghu Nadathur.

Congratulations to our raffle winners and thanks to everyone who donated to the hampers. Segue to the cake stall and bric-a-brac - thanks to everyone who baked and donated treasures!

To all our volunteers who helped in the lead up and on the day – you went above and beyond and we're truly grateful. Shout-out to Lotana for her excellent MC skills and thank you to our roving photographers from Camberwell Camera Club for capturing the day.

Of course, to our Balwyn Evergreen community for helping spread the word and for coming along and enjoying the day.
