  • You can use everyday household items in place of equipment , such as two small cans (hard to break) or water bottles for weights, a scarf or rope about an arm’s length for the TheraBand, a cushion as a soft ball etc.

Safety tips for home workout:

  • Make sure you have enough space (Don’t let your pets invade your workout space)
  • Make sure the floor is clear of trip and slip hazards
  • Wear appropriate footwear
  • When you need use your furniture (e.g. a chair), make sure it is sturdy enough for your body weight so that it will not move or tip
  • If you use everyday household items in place of free weights etc, make sure the item is an appropriate shape and isn’t breakable or sharp.
  • If you are using your own equipment at home, check for warning labels on the product and/or in the user’s manual (if you have one), read them, and follow them
  • Stop if you feel faint, dizzy, or experience pain
