EVERGREEN CLUB
The Evergreen Club’s goal is to provide companionship, recreation, stimulating activities and entertainment for older people living in Balwyn and surrounding area. BEC provides a welcoming and accessible venue for social activities and companionship.
The activities and services options include: Craft; Dining Room Meals; Entertainment/Concerts; Exercises; Video Mornings; Cards; Day Trips; Functions; Table Tennis; Walking Group; Fashion Parades; Morning Coffee; Tai Chi and Interesting Speakers.
Transport is provided and makes coming to activities possible for the less mobile.
ACTIVE LIVING PROGRAM
BEC operates Active Living Programs that aim to enhance individuals’ health and wellbeing, strengthen friendship networks and reduce isolation and loneliness. Referrals can be accepted from health professionals, family members or self-referral.
Times: Thursday & Friday: 10.30am to 3.00pm

Monday Outings
This is a special interest group with the focus on more active outings. The group meets on the last Monday of the month. Activities may include outings to exhibitions or workshops or to other various interesting locations and events.

SOCIAL OUTING PROGRAM
This program provides support for older people who may be frail or socially isolated and people with disabilities to access a wide range of community and social activities. The service aims to provide regular bus trips that enhance the physical, intellectual and social wellbeing of clients.
Outings are held on a weekly basis as advertised through a Newsletter which is distributed monthly. The participants of this program cover the costs of the outings they attend.

COMMUNITY LUNCH
Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Balwyn Evergreen Centre offers a hot 3 course lunch for only $16. Lunch starts at 12pm and Bookings are essential. Contact us on 9836 9681 to start socializing!
SHOPPING BUS
We offer a shopping bus on a Monday morning for members who are unable to get out and about. The bus will pick up from your home and go to Woolworths Balwyn, then return you home with shopping. Booking Essential: contact the office on 9836 9681.
EVERGREEN EXPLORERS
Evergreen Epxlorers is a group who would like to get out with other socially-minded peers to see some of Melbourne & enjoy a meal together. The Evergreen Explorers go out fortnightly on Thursdays to different venues, hotels and clubs around Melbourne.

BOROONDARA CHINESE SENIOR CITIZENS [BCSC]
BCSC provides a meeting place and time for senior Chinese people [mostly Cantonese speaking] to meet, socialise and discuss issues important to the community. It runs health, leisure and recreational activities and offers welfare services for members.
